Privacy

We record first-party interaction events — which screens and listings are opened, which filters are used, and which actions (call, directions, share) are tapped. Events are counted for product decisions. We do not record free-text you type into search or forms as analytics, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers.

If you request control of a listing or send us corrected business information, we store what you submit (your account email, the business, and the details you provide) so a HeyPatong reviewer can check it. Submissions are reviewed by HeyPatong staff only. Advertisers and other businesses have no access to them.

Reports about a place (closed, wrong hours, wrong location, other) are stored privately for review. They are never published as reviews or ratings, and are not attributed publicly. Please do not include personal information in the message field.

Signing in is only required for claiming or managing a business. Authentication is handled by our backend provider; we hold your email address and the businesses linked to your account.

We keep small amounts of data locally in your browser for saved places, day/night preference and an anonymous session identifier used for rate limiting. Location is only read when you explicitly allow it, is used to compute distance, and is not stored on our servers.

Claim requests, merchant submissions and reports are retained while they are open and for a limited review-history period after they are resolved, so decisions remain auditable. Analytics events are aggregated counters.
